Art workshops require a lot a work. Not just on my end, in the preparation of it, but also my students. They work hard, risk hard and produce prodigious results. I am lucky....I have a great teaching space at Galeria San Francisco in Fabrica La Aurora that makes things much easier.
Here are pics from three workshops in February and March of 2019. My students often write reviews about me and you can view one of them on this page as well as here, on Trip Advisor. Finally, click hereto see a calendar of upcoming workshop dates!
This is February's Beginning Encaustic Class. A super fun bunch, who bonded really well. This particular class is a guided curriculum, where we all work on the same section of one painting at a time. Each student goes home with their own 12" x 12" finished painting, along with the knowledge of at least eight different techniques, plus safety and studio set up instruction.

March wound up with TWO Cold Wax and Oil Classes, due to high demand. I normally only teach one workshop per month (always the 4th Tuesday and Wednesday: Beginning Encaustic is on the even-numbered months and Cold Wax/Oil on the odd numbered months), but with high season in San Miguel ending soon, it's best to get on it. Many, many photos came out of each workshop, as the structure of this curricula has each student working on 12 smallish paintings on paper over the course of the two days. I am always amazed at what can be accomplished in these classes. Enjoy the photos!
